Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

I don’t want to join the group rides, is it also possible to just book the hotel accommodation?
If you decide to visit the Dolomites
during the Giro week but you
just need a place to sleep, visit our website  where you can also simply book overnight accommodations without the services included in this offer.

Which Maratona courses can we ride?
Each participant is free to choose from among the courses that are best suited to his/her athletic conditioning. Given the logistics of the course, it is easy for us to give support to participants who ride any of the courses on the same day.

How does the support van work?
The Holimites support van will follow and precede the group of participants and stop on pre-planned stops, usually at the top of the passes. There you can change clothing, fill up your water bottle and have something to eat. If the group agrees ahead of time, we can also organize for midday lunch in a mountain hut (highly recommended).

Is mechanical support provided?
Our support service van will always carry spare parts as well as an extra bicycle, so that no one has to get on the van for mechanical reasons.

Can guided riding be arranged?
Certainly! For an extra charge, you can request to be accompanied by one of our cycling guides when you make your reservations.

I’m traveling with someone who won't be cycling. What options do they have?
For non-cycling participants, there are guided visits and trail hikes organized daily by the Alta Badia tourist board or, depending on availability and for a small extra charge, they can ride along with us in the service van and follow the various stages.
