Before the arrival of tourism, the Ladin valleys were fairly poor. Back then, self-reliant farmers lived by the rhythm of nature and the earth’s seasonal bounties decked their tables. Join us as we travel back to the roots of our local culture as we harvest our own traditional ingredients and learn to prepare them with authentic methods, passed down from our grandmother’s, grandmother’s (times twenty) grandmother’s kitchen to yours. In the mornings, we’ll take lovely excursions to discover native herbs and wild flowers, and farm-fresh alpine cheeses. These freshly harvested ingredients will then be used in a cooking class, and afterward we’ll enjoy the dishes we prepared in a feast of natural abundance.
