Program
Arrival in Alta Badia:
After arriving in Alta Badia and checking into the hotel, it’s time to relax after the journey and enjoy the beautiful mountain atmosphere.
Acclimatization day:
Today is dedicated to acclimatization. Relax, take a walk to stretch your legs, and get used to the altitude and the mountains. In the late afternoon/evening, there will be a general briefing about the route with a local expert from Holimites.
1st stage: For those who rented the e-bike, the guides will help measure and fit you to your bike at this time. Before you begin the tour starting, our guides will take a look at your riding style and give you some tips on how to improve your technique. From Badia through the wonderful meadows of Armentara to La Val and further to Pederü. Last uphill to the Fanes alp.
2nd stage: From Fanes through the famous "Ponte Outo" a bridge backdrop of a 15th century old legend, telling about a young noble knight of the Marebbe valley, finishing the day at the foot of the Cinque Torri.
3rd stage: From the Cinque Torri riding through the Fodom valley, than back to Alta Badia through Cherz.
4th stage: From Pralongia through Juvel Pass to Longiarú, a typical mountain village. The tour continues to Göma Pass and then on an undulating trail to Rodenecker Alm, where we can tast the local cheese.
5th stage: On day 5 we ride back to Badia passing through a few tipical mountain towns like Ellen, Onies, Rina and more. At rifugio La Crusc we'll have a taste of ....why not .... a typical italian aperitivo before riding down to Pedraces.
6th stage: The day dedicated to the Sellaronda loop. Starting from Alta Badia, you will ride the entire loop using the lift facilities for the uphill portions and for the downhill, of course, we’ll use our bikes.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the recommended level to participate?
This offer is great for anyone who already enjoys easy mountain biking and for anyone that would like to pass a "unique" holiday in the Dolomites amidst nature. You need to have good basic guiding skills on a mountain bike in order to be able to ride some of the technical parts without any problems.
What happens if the battery of the e-bike is not sufficient?
The battery will be charged overnight so you can start in the morning with full of energy. The full charge should be enough for the daily trip. But don't worry, there are also several charging stations during the tours, normally during meal.
What if it rains?
Our guides will make the final decision in compromising weather conditions whether the ride can continue full stage, part stage or otherwise.
What specific clothing and gear do you recommend?
Please be advised that the use of a certified helmet is mandatory for participation in this bike tour. The helmet must be worn and fastened throughout the entire tour and throughout all of the riding stages without exception. If this rule is not followed, our guides will not be able to allow your participation in the remainder of the tour and you will be asked to leave the group. We ensure the safety of all of our guests to the greatest potential possible, and therefore, will not be flexible with this stipulation. Please make sure to bring a light hydration pack with a few layers of clothing including a lightly insulated jacket, rain gear and gloves. Keep in mind that the weather in the mountains can change quickly and vary in degrees. A beautiful, sunny morning can turn wet and cold by afternoon; so be prepared for everything.
I have some issues with elevation, is that a problem?
The tours each day are between 1.500 and 2.700 meters altitude (between 4,900 and 8,860 feet). If you have trouble with high elevations, please consult a doctor or medical professional for their expert opinion before booking this trip.
The programs on the catalog don‘t match my expectations. Are there alternative offers?
On request, Holimites can customize a program for you. Is the tour too long or the stages to challenging? Do you prefer a different itinerary? Would you like to book some extra days to relax in the hotel or on a mountain hut? Just send us a request and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Overnight stay on the mountain huts...
You will be surprised of how lovely our mountain huts are. However, they have to be considered a rifugio in the mountains and not a hotel. So you won’t find all the luxury features you find in the towns.
In the huts there are blankets and pillows. We suggest to bring sleeping bags inlay with you.
All hotels and huts are well informed about dietary restrictions, like gluten or lactose intolerance. Everywhere you will find a vegetarian or vegan alternative.
Not all huts accept credit cards. So we suggest to bring some cash with you, to pay drinks, snacks or extras which are not included in the offer.
What about having lunch in the mountains?
For lunch you can stop in one of the huts to taste some traditional food or you have the possibility to buy a lunch package in the hut where you overnight.
What about dinner?
All the mountain huts where you'll be staying offer dinner service, which you can decide to join on the same day. When you'll stay in a hotel you have the option to dine at the hotel's restaurant or, if you prefer, explore the town to find a restaurant that suits your taste.
