Group Tour

An accompanied experience shared with other participants

Our group tours run on carefully selected fixed dates throughout the season and are intentionally limited in size — usually 7–8 guests per tour leader.

This small scale allows us to offer the kind of experience that defines Holimites: attentive, well-balanced, and far from mass tourism.

Perfect for solo travelers or for anyone who values the insight of a local expert, these tours combine authentic mountain culture with transparent, honest pricing.

The value of an accompanied experience

A local tour leader doesn’t simply accompany you — they help you experience the Dolomites with greater depth.

Their deep knowledge of the terrain, wildlife, and traditions adds layers of meaning to every stage of the journey, turning a simple hike into a richer and more engaging experience.

All practical details are taken care of:
your luggage is transferred from hut to hut, meals are arranged, and you walk with the reassurance of someone who knows how quickly alpine weather can shift.
The pace feels natural and balanced — your tour leader knows when it’s time to continue, pause, or simply enjoy the landscape.

And then there’s the group experience: small groups create real connections. Many guests end the tour with new friendships and shared memories that become some of the journey’s finest moments.

icona FAQ

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

The main tourist destinations in the Dolomites are easily accessible from Venice and Innsbruck airports, with an average driving time of around 2.5 hours, depending on the specific destination.

Alternatively, it is also possible to reach the area by train or bus, connecting major cities in Northern Italy and Austria with the Dolomite valleys.

At Holimites, we are happy to help you plan your journey in the most convenient way according to your needs: we can arrange private transfers or suggest the best options by taxi, bus, or train, ensuring a smooth, stress-free arrival and a well-organised start to your holiday.

The Dolomites are a year-round destination, and the best time to visit really depends on the type of experience you are looking for.

Summer and early autumn (June to October) are ideal for hiking, trekking, cycling, climbing, and enjoying long days with clear skies and breathtaking panoramic views of the peaks. It is the perfect season to explore trails, mountain huts, and alpine landscapes at their best.

Winter (December to March) transforms the Dolomites into a true snowy paradise, perfect for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and relaxing stays in cosy mountain lodges, surrounded by a magical and peaceful atmosphere.

Each season offers completely different landscapes, emotions, and activities, making the Dolomites a unique destination all year round, easily adaptable to every traveller’s interests.

You can choose how to experience our tours: self-guided, at your own pace, or accompanied by a local guide who knows and lives the Dolomites every day.

A self-guided tour is designed for those who love independence. We provide everything you need — itineraries, maps, and detailed information — and then it’s up to you to shape your journey, stopping whenever you like and adjusting your pace according to how you feel.

In a guided (escorted) tour, the local guide truly makes the difference: with in-depth knowledge of the route, they know how to set the rhythm of each stage, manage breaks at the right moments, and lead you to hidden gems you would hardly find on your own, while enriching the journey with stories, insights, and local traditions that turn each day into a more meaningful and immersive experience.
