Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the recommended level to participate?
It is important to be trained and in any case, to have a good experience with the Mountainbike.
Which particular mountain bike type do you suggest?
Both, full suspension or hardtail bikes are ok. The most important thing is that before you begin a stage of the tour, the bike is in perfect riding condition, and has been checked for safety and performance by a specialized bike mechanic.
Can I use an e-bike?
Yes, of course, you can use an e-mountainbike. In this case, you should calculate the power of your battery well, according to the distances and meters of elevation gain to cover.
What if it rains?
Our guides will make the final decision in compromising weather conditions whether the ride can continue full stage, part stage or otherwise.
What specific clothing and gear do you recommend?
Please be advised that the use of a certified helmet is mandatory for participation in this bike tour. The helmet must be worn and fastened throughout the entire tour and throughout all of the riding stages without exception. If this rule is not followed, our guides will not be able to allow your participation in the remainder of the tour and you will be asked to leave the group. We ensure the safety of all of our guests to the greatest potential possible, and therefore, will not be flexible with this stipulation. Please make sure to bring a light hydration pack with a few layers of clothing including a lightly insulated jacket, rain gear and gloves. Keep in mind that the weather in the mountains can change quickly and vary in degrees. A beautiful, sunny morning can turn wet and cold by afternoon; so be prepared for everything
Overnight stay on the mountain huts...
You will be surprised of how lovely our mountain huts are. However, they have to be considered a rifugio in the mountains and not a hotel. So you won’t find all the luxury features you find in the towns.
In the huts there are blankets and pillows. We suggest to bring sleeping bags inlay with you.
All hotels and huts are well informed about dietary restrictions, like gluten or lactose intolerance. Everywhere you will find a vegetarian or vegan alternative.
Not all huts accept credit cards. So we suggest to bring some cash with you, to pay drinks, snacks or extras which are not included in the offer.
What about having lunch in the mountains?
For lunch you can stop in one of the huts to taste some traditional food or you have the possibility to buy a lunch package in the hut where you overnight.
What about dinner?
All the mountain huts where you'll be staying offer dinner service, which you can decide to join on the same day. When you'll stay in a hotel you have the option to dine at the hotel's restaurant or, if you prefer, explore the town to find a restaurant that suits your taste.
