Your vacation begins with the journey

How to reach the Dolomites: airport transfer and much more

Are you asking yourself how to reach the Dolomites and which means is best?
Of course, it all depends on where you are planning to reach the Dolomites.
If a car drive is not possible because you are traveling from out the European continent then the best way is definitely by plane.

Which is the best airport FROM where to reach the Dolomites?
How do I get from the airport to the Dolomites in the least stressful way?

The Dolomites are located in South Tyrol, in the north-east part of Italy.
The proximity to the Austrian border gives us the possibility to consider, besides logically the Northern Italy airports, also some airports of Austria and Germany.

Dolomites airport options: here are the distances to Alta Badia
Holimites is located in Alta Badia and operates in the heart of the Dolomites.

But what is the easiest way to get from the airport to Badia?

→ by private transfer
The easiest and least stressful way to get from the airport to your destination (and back) is by private transfer.
One of our drivers will wait for you at the various airport arrival gates and you just need to take a seat in a comfortable van and enjoy the ride towards the Dolomites. However, this option is certainly not the cheapest (but it depends on how many people are traveling).
Get in touch with us at Holimites and let us help you to find the best solution for your transfer to the Dolomites.

→ by public transfer (bus/train)

Unfortunately, this option is often very tedious and extremely time-consuming. But it is the most cost-effective option.
The airport with the best public transport connection is Venice Airport.

If you want Holimites to help you plan your transfer to the Dolomites write us an e-mail so we can assist you.

→ Car rental

Car rental for the whole vacation directly from the airport.

ATTENTION: When traveling in winter please make sure that the car rental companies give you a car suited with winter tires, or at least summer tires with a good profile and
winter chains before driving your way to the Dolomites. Getting stuck during a snowstorm may ruin your hard-gained holiday and lead to even more unplanned expenses. Between October 15th to April 15th while driving in the northern regions of Italy winter equipment is mandatory. If you don't have at least winter chains in your car and police officers stop you you may get a hefty fine.
